Hybrid Metal/Maple Shells: The 8″ to 24″ toms and kick drums feature a 9-Ply 333™ Maple shell with a 1/36″ Aluminum sheet replacing the middle ply.
Massive Configuration: The pack features 5 distinct kick drum variations, 3 snare drum options, and a complete, shimmering set of Zildjian K series cymbals.
The Sonic Result: Compared to a neutral Pure Maple 333 shell, this hybrid construction produces a higher pitch, brighter tone, and shorter sustain. It perfectly balances the thick punch and warm resonance of Maple with the dry, controlled attack of Aluminum.
Studio-Grade Capture: All samples are recorded at the highest level of audio fidelity using best-in-class microphones, high-quality microphone preamplifiers, compressors, and equalizers.
Maximum Resolution: Sampled at an ultra-high resolution of 24-bit, 88.2 kHz for an authentic audio experience.
The SonicPly® Innovation
At the heart of this pack is a meticulously captured 8-piece DW SonicPly® drum set. After two years of relentless development led by John Good, DW SonicPly® combines aircraft-grade aluminum with an American Maple shell to deliver a first-of-its-kind hybrid sound.
Hybrid Metal/Maple Shells: The 8" to 24" toms and kick drums feature a 9-Ply 333™ Maple shell with a 1/36" Aluminum sheet replacing the middle ply.
Precision Snares: SonicPly® snare drums utilize a 12-Ply Maple shell with two 1/36"
Aluminum sheets sandwiching the middle plies.
Optimized Bearing Edges: The shells are precision-cut with 45-degree edges on the toms and 60-degree edges on the bass and snare to maximize sustain, depth, and punch.
