Designed and handcrafted in DW's California Custom Shop, Collector's Series snare drums offer quality, elegance, and performance fit for the touring or recording professional and the passionate player or collector.
This DW Collector's Series Pure Maple snare drum features a 10-ply shell with 6-ply reinforcing hoops handcrafted from 100% North American Maple. Boasting versatility that spans genres and performing environments, Maple offers punchy attack, warm and balanced tonality, and full resonance.
The drum is fitted with DW's famed MAG throw-off paired with a five-position (5P) buttplate for five strainer levels to dial in the right amount of tension from the True Tone Snare Wires. True Hoops ensure a thick rimshot or side stick while minimizing chop.
These shells are finished with a hand-rubbed natural satin oil to bring out the classic luster of Maple. Crowned with heads by Remo U.S.A. *
