Designed and handcrafted in DW's California Custom Shop, Collector's Series snare drums offer quality, elegance, and performance fit for the touring or recording professional and the passionate player or collector.
This DW Collector's Series Pure Oak snare drum features an 11-ply HVLT™ shell with no reinforcing hoops handcrafted from 100% Oak. Known as a working hardwood and praised for its projection in live performance, Oak delivers aggressive, bright attack with full mids, and medium sustain.
The drum is fitted with DW's famed MAG throw-off paired with a five-position (5P) buttplate for five strainer levels to dial in the right amount of tension from the True Tone Snare Wires. True Hoops ensure a thick rimshot or side stick while minimizing chop.
These shells are finished with a natural gloss lacquer to bring out the classic figured patterns of Oak. Crowned with heads by Remo U.S.A. *
