This DW Collector's Series Pure Birch snare drum features an 11-ply HVLT™ shell with no reinforcing hoops handcrafted from North American Birch. Legendary for its studio performance, Birch offers bright attack, focused tonality, and faster resonance.
The drum is fitted with DWs famed MAG throw-off paired with a five-position (5P) buttplate for five strainer levels to dial in the right amount of tension from the True Tone Snare Wires. True Hoops ensure a thick rimshot or side stick while minimizing chop.
These shells feature an outer veneer of figured heartwood Birch that is hand-rubbed in a natural satin oil finish. Crowned with heads by Remo U.S.A. *
