Designed and handcrafted in DW's California Custom Shop, Collector's Series snare drums offer quality, elegance, and performance fit for the touring or recording professional and the passionate player or collector.
This DW Collector's Series Pure Cherry snare drum features an 11-ply HVLT™ shell with no reinforcing hoops handcrafted from 100% Cherry. Revered for its lush musicality and consistent grain patterns, Cherry offers bright attack, punchy mids tonality, and balanced resonance.
The drum is fitted with DW's famed MAG throw-off paired with a five-position (5P) butt plate for five strainer levels to dial in the right amount of tension from the True Tone Snare Wires. True Hoops ensure a thick rimshot or side stick while minimizing chop.
These shells are finished with a hand-rubbed natural satin oil to bring out the tight grains of Cherry. Crowned with heads by Remo U.S.A. *
