Drum Workshop, Inc. recently announced the company's largest one-time contribution to its successful "Buy a Drumset, Plant A Tree" program. A total of 3,062 trees were planted as part of domestic and international re-forestation projects. American Forests, the organization that oversees the program, reported that the 2003 beneficiaries included:

Begun in 2002, the ongoing program donates a small percentage of each drumset sold to American Forests. DW Director of Purchasing and program liaison, Carrie Lombardi points out, "Every tree planted serves as an acknowledgement of the environmental impact that wood related industries have on the planet." She adds, "It's our responsibility to contribute to organizations such as these that are committed to protecting our natural resources."
